How to choose the right contact channels for your website

Give visitors enough choice to feel comfortable without turning your contact widget into another menu they have to understand.

01

Start with customer intent

A useful contact channel matches what the visitor is trying to do. A pre-sales question may fit live messaging, while a detailed support request may be better suited to email.

Review the questions your team already receives and group them by urgency, complexity, and the information needed to resolve them.

02

Use a focused default

Show the channel most customers already use first. Keep additional channels available, but avoid giving every option the same visual weight.

  • Use WhatsApp or Messenger for quick conversations.
  • Use Telegram where it is already common among your audience.
  • Keep email available for detailed or non-urgent requests.
03

Measure what happens after the click

A channel is valuable when it produces useful conversations, not simply clicks. Compare channel clicks with qualified leads, resolved questions, and response times.
